We just wanted to say how pleased we were with the help, service and patience from everyone whilst we were trying to find a car that suited our needs. We had 3 children along with a puppy with us at the time. Everyone was patient and while we were sorting paperwork out the children were kept amused. The knowledge of each car was very helpful and if they didn't know they found out straight away. The car was valeted to a high standard.

Picked up my civic today and its gave me a massive smile. Can't give enough praise for this garage. Steve the owner is brillent so friendly and answers all question you have on any car, Will the valvet chap was brillent, he came over and made us feel welcome and had a good chat, Gemma was brillent helped me out with any answers I may of needed answering an kept me up to date with when my car was ready for collection.
All in all absolutely fantastic, they are by far the best garage I have brought a car from, no hassle no being pushed in to anything. If you are looked for a car these are the people to go to. I cant praise them enough for all there hard work they put in to me sure the cars they sell are top quality. Highly recommended, wouldint hesitate to buy another car from here. 10/10 all day long

What a perfect, pleasant and reassuring time we had getting our big family car from Steve and all at Family Car Sales. We gave him a set of (probably quite tricky) requirements and he searched for weeks to find us the perfect car! Wouldn’t settle for anything he wasn’t happy with either. Finally found one and he ensured we were happy with everything before making it perfect and delivering it to us! After he left we found an upholstery spring which had become dislodged on a seat in the back and he advised us to use the car a few times to check we were happy with everything and then bring it in for them to fix. Which we did, there was nothing else that needed attention on the car, just the spring and they had it back in place within minutes! Just the sort of help and service you’d hope for 🙂 Always polite and friendly.
The car, a Ford galaxy Titanium is lovely! Looks and drives beautifully and we (my husband, myself and 3 young sons) feel really safe and confident traveling in it 🙂

My wife and I decided last year it was time to trade in the family car for something a bit newer and hopefully more reliable. Previously when purchasing a new family car we adopted the mindset of the best value car from any local dealership, with the mentality of a dealership is a dealership they are all much the same. This was a valuable and hard lesson to learn, they are very much not the same. Previously I’ve felt rushed through the purchase phase, virtually shoved out the door with keys in my hand, not even knowing how to take off the electronic handbrake and having to go back in and feel like I was being an inconvenience asking another question. Being promised that all the work on the MOT had been done which turns out it wasn’t, being told it had been serviced with a new cam belt which It hadn’t, phone calls ignored and rude responses to messages (if at all). After a matter of days the engine light came on, garage didn’t fix it just wiped the message and gave it back. Needless to say, experiences like this leave a bitter taste in your mouth, driving a new car should be exciting, not driving with a sense of dread waiting for the next mechanical failure to happen every time you take the family out...So we decided, our next car was going to come from the best, most reputable garage we can find...So it began, trawling the internet, reading hundreds of reviews from independent review sites, customer feedback on line, best pre sale service, best customer aftercare, best quality of used vehicles...then my wife found Family Car Sales. We trawled their pages, watched video after video of Steve talking about the peace of mind he installs in every car by leaving no stone unturned to ensure each one is as safe and sound as it can possibly be, the no quibble after sales support...this was the dealership for us, even though it was another county away and we’d never been to the forecourt before, in the middle of lockdown, we still knew we trusted this car dealership more than any other we had found. So we contacted Steve, initially just to enquire if we what wanted was achievable in our budget. A swift and positive reply, he knew what we wanted and he was determined to find it and the search began. Finding a low mileage, newer car on a limited budget is no easy challenge, throw in a lockdown and I have no doubt we were asking a lot of Family Car Sales. After a few months, we were beginning to doubt our decision and suspected we were asking for the impossible, considering making compromises on the vehicle we wanted for one more readily available but Steve wouldn’t have it. He knew what we wanted and he was determined to get it. After 4 months, a few close but not quite right options came and went, late night conversations (undoubtably in his own time, at home, being pestered by me but still positive and enthusiastic on the hunt) Steve found the car for us. We had pictures and videos galore, buying a car you can’t walk around and see could be a frightening prospect but not with Family Car Sales. Regardless of the expense to them, the time and effort they’d gone to to source the vehicle, we still felt absolutely no pressure to go ahead with the purchase unless we were absolutely satisfied. Needless to say we were, totally over the moon with what Steve and the Family Car Sales team found for us so we said yes! Cleaned, the most thorough service I’ve ever known a vehicle to go through and a fresh MOT even though it had one a few months prior. Delivered to our door over an hours drive away, with a smile on his face and smiles on ours! The old family car taken in exchange and 2 very happy customers with there new car! Since then, going on family days out has been delightful, a new car that comes with peace of mind gives you a freedom to explore the world around you with renewed confidence and we’ve already taken as much advantage of that as we can in lockdown, enjoying some great family days out! Any new car will have niggles, there was one very minor issue with the underside of one of the seats, needless to say Steve had it back in the workshop in no time, had it fixed in minutes and took some time to show me how the seats work so I could drive away confident in what had been done and how to use the vehicle properly going forward. Family Car Sales, the best user car garage we have ever found and recommend to everyone! Thank you.

We got our car from cator family cars at the beginning of may...Sophie and Steve were so welcoming, helpful and made our car searching so easy. We have now got the perfect car, with no problems and my dream. Honest, genuine and reliable service we received and I cannot recommend enough. turned up to have a browse. got a lovely welcome. asked if we would like a cuppa and the kids a cold drink. the lady then took the kids out the heat and showed them an area where they could play with toys or draw and colour. then had a look round the cars. some very nice cars there. even if we decide to go elsewhere its still a very lovely genuine car sales.

I’ve had the pleasure of purchasing from Family Car Sales and I can honestly say it was an absolute pleasure to do business with them.

I would like to start by saying that the first initial point of contact was very good, a lovely warm welcome and drinks offered. Sophie I believe first spoke to us then passed us onto Tom who knew the car inside and out (and recommended things for me to buy for it aswell 😉)

I went away and had a think about the car after I test drove it to make sure it was right for me and there was absolutely no pressure from anybody.

Once I made my mind up, I was kept up to date with what was going on with the car (when it would be serviced, MOTd and ready for collection)

There was a minor defect on the MOT but Steve soon fixed this before I collected meaning it was defect free when I picked the car up.

I can honestly say from my previous experiences with car buying and garages that Family Car Sales are a real diamond to find in this day and age where sales reps are on commission and targets to be hit by servicing department. You will not find a major Ford service cheaper anywhere else! Trust me.

I would also like to praise Tom, he is still young but carries himself very well. Very positive and really knew his stuff. Tom is very passionate about his car and knew a lot about the car he sold me (something which again made me feel at ease) Please carry on like that in life Tom, it will get you far!

Please carry on the top work and I shall see you for an oil change, service and some upgraded suspension soon 🙂

It might seem odd to give a great review of a garage that hasn’t actually sold me a car, but I wanted to reiterate how genuine and honest Sophie & Steve are. I went in to discuss the option of trading my car in. After discussing my situation Sophie gave me all the facts & presented me with a couple of different options, including keeping my car after all. I never felt under any pressure & Sophie explained everything brilliantly. So I have decided to keep my car after all, but when the time comes to get a new one this is the first place I will go! I wholeheartedly recommend their expertise, knowledge & friendly service! You also get a great cup of tea!!!

I went down to cator car sales today, very friendly staff and answered all questions there was only two people on shift and they still made time to take us out for a test drive and offered tea and coffee didn’t keep us hanging around, I would definitely recommend them if your looking for a cheap reliable car.

I have been chatting to Steve and Sophie for a few months about cars as I was on the look out and they were always super helpful. A focus came into stock and I went to view it yesterday morning with my baby girl. I was made to feel welcome right away and at no point did I feel pressured. Took the car for a test drive and fell in love with it straight away! Arranged a pick up for later in the week and to my surprise Sophie rang up in the afternoon to say it had the major service and was ready. How amazing is that?! I went and picked it up today and part ex my old car and once again excellent service. She has now been named "Cherry" by my 3 year old boy and "is a beautiful car" in his words and I couldn't agree more! Would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you x

Fantastic customer service, lovely, polite and very friendly staff! Had toys for my daughter to play with whilst we waited too! Highly recommended, you can tell they are all about great customer service, nothing was rushed or pressured. Thank you guys for such a great and easy service. Father in law will be back to collect his car as soon as it’s ready.

Today i picked up my new car from Cator Family Cars. Its the second car i have bought from them and i cant recommend them more highly. The best garage to purchase a quality 2nd hand car which has been fully serviced, new cam belt and thoroughly checked over. When I got my car they sorted out literally everything for me ....... no worries you drive away and everything has been done. I would thoroughly recommend them it’s a nice family concern , friendly and helpful beyond measure......

We had very specific requirements for a car, but Steve was up for the challenge and sourced a car based on our requirements. Unfortunately after we got it home, we started to have some issues with the gear box. True to their word, Steve and Sophie took the car back in and tried and tried to rectify the issue (they even offered to lend us their family car while ours was in with them!). When we couldn't get to the bottom of the issue, they offered to buy the car back for what we'd paid less a few hundred quid for the mileage. We chose Cator on the basis of their values and their guarantee. Despite the problems with the car, we couldn't have asked for a fairer deal with them. I wish them every success in the future.

After hearing many good things about Family car Sales we decided to go and have a look for ourselves. On the first visit we found 2 cars we liked, both were diesel and on Steve's advice we didin't buy either.
The following week we returned and found a very nice petrol Fiesta, the whole process was so easy and stress free.
We collected our car 1 week later as prominsed. A good experience all round, we highly recommend family Car Sales, very friendly and helpful.

brilliant service- I messaged them about a van I had seen they responded quickly and even when they informed me it was the house next to them selling it they still wanted to help and send me information and pictures of the van. when I did a arranged visit to see the van they even helped with finding the owner and were very professional. I will be taking my van and car to them to have it serviced when it is due as its hard to find a friendly service like what I got from them ( and they didn't make anything from me) highly recommended

Cator Cars are an amazing family run company that appear to get busier and busier and it’s clear to see why! The customer care is 2nd to no one, not forgetting the work carried out on my car. For such a busy business they manage to access any problems and quickly get you a quote offering top advise at the same time.

I work full time and only run one car and in recent times of need they have pulled through for me every time!

Cannot praise the group at Cator enough, and would highly recommend them to anyone.

My misses won a car (Ford focus) from there over Christmas! Wasn't sure what to expect but got there to pick it up today and it's absolutely perfect for her! Really nice friendly couple that run the place and even had somewhere for the young one to play while we had a cuppa!
Car runs great and my misses is well happy!
Only downside is I've now got 2 cars to clean of a weekend! Lol

We have been trading with Family Car Sales since they were founded. We have ALWAYS had spot on service from them, with both car sales and servicing/ aftercare. Very professional staff.

Great customer service. They helped my son choose his first car and offered good advice and were very patient whilst he had a chance to consider his options. My son loves his first car (and so do we).

While planning to upgrade our old car, it actually died on us bringing plans forward a few months early and while we envisaged a few trips round to places to find something we headed here as we were in the area for a general chat about Fords. They were so helpful with our questions and left us in peace to look around. The most pressing question put to us was tea or coffee! We test drove three we liked the look of and ended up choosing one in 2 hours! It was incredibly easy to sort out and we were even able to pick a convenient time for it to be delivered. They were also able to sort something out with the old car and take it away. Had our new car over a week now and couldn't be happier. Fantastic car and while I've always had used cars, this is the first one that feels like a brand new drive. Lots checked and replaced new before it came to us. Great to use and had every confidence in each team member we dealt with. Would definitely recommend.
